DESCRIPTION:Room 9\nGlynn Vivian’s collection of Welsh porcelain has been
  the starting point of artist Andreas Rüthi’s paintings that celebrate 
 and explore both the hallucinogenic power of colour and new possibilities 
 held within the tradition of painting such as playing with the nature of r
 eproduction\, imitation\, re-presentation and scale.\nAfter training and w
 orking as a teacher in his native Switzerland\, Andreas Rüthi studied Fin
 e Art in London and Amsterdam. He worked in London for several years in pu
 blishing as a translator and art director. From 2008-2017 he was a Senior 
 Lecturer in Fine Art at the USW.\nSince 1996 his work has been exhibited i
 n the UK and internationally.\nFree entry\, no booking required. Everyone 
 welcome.
