DESCRIPTION:Shiraz Bayjoo is a Mauritian artist\, whose multi-disciplinary 
 practice investigates the social\, political and historical landscapes cen
 tral to Mauritian cultural identity and the wider Indian Ocean region.\n\n
 Bayjoo studied at the University of Wales Institute\, Cardiff. He has exhi
 bited with Tate Britain\, the Institute for International Visual Arts\, 13
 th Biennale of Dakar\, 21st Biennale of Sydney\, and is a recipient of Art
 s Council of England Gasworks fellowship.\n\nBayjoo will be our Artist in 
 Residence this September\, culminating in a performance at Glynn Vivian at
  Night on Friday 21 September\, 5-8pm.
