Taith Gerdded Abertawe Fodernaidd

Saturday 21 September 2024 //  by laura.gill

Saturday 21 September 2024
12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

A photograph of Swansea Market glass walls, taken from inside the market.
Swansea Market. Photography, Catrin James

Ymunwch â ni am y daith gerdded hwn o gwmpas Abertawe, sydd am ddim, gyda Catrin James.

Mae pensaernïaeth wedi rhyfel Abertawe bob amser wedi ysbrydoli gwaith Catrin fel artist ac archifydd wrth iddi dynnu sylw at yr amgylchedd adeiledig o’i chwmpas drwy waith collage, teithiau cerdded a hanesion llafar.

Bydd y daith gerdded hon yn tynnu sylw at y modd yr ailadeiladwyd canol tref Abertawe ar ôl iddo gael ei fomio, hyd at y 1950au cynnar i ddechrau’r 1980au ac i’r penseiri a’r arddulliau dan sylw sy’n gwneud Abertawe mor unigryw.

Wrth i chi edmygu moderniaeth, briwtaliaeth, adeiladau dinesig, gosodiadau a ffitiadau, gallwch gwblhau hanes canol tref Abertawe a gofyn y cwestiwn ‘Ydy e’n gweithio ar gyfer bywyd yn yr 21ain ganrif?’

Mae’r digwyddiad yn rhan o raglen o weithgareddau i ddathlu arddangosfa Out of this World  Heather Phillipson.

Am ddim, rhaid cadw lle.
