Creative Industries, Careers Day

Visit us for a special Careers Day and learn how you can take your first steps in the creative industries, including, TV, film and music.

Suitable for ages 14+

With guests from Screen Alliance Wales and Fusion Swansea, you will be able to ask questions and get advice from industry specialists.

Screen Alliance Wales work across various TV & Film productions in Wales, identifying opportunities for those who are seeking to break into the industry, as well as those with skills in demand that people would not have previously considered.

The Fusion Programme is a Welsh Government initiative, creating opportunities through culture. Swansea Fusion, part of Swansea Council’s Cultural Services, will be hosting guest speaker Simon Parton, who will provide information and tips about starting out in the music industry.

Information on the day will include:

  • Grants and funding available

  • Tips on income generation

  • Portfolio building

  • Social media and marketing

  • Steps towards becoming a freelancer

  • CV feedback

Drop in and find out how you can plan for a career in the creative industries.
