Saturday Family Workshops: Live

Saturday 13 February 2021 //  by laura.gill

Saturday 13 February 2021
10:30 am - 11:30 am

Papercraft 3D Caves

Saturday Family Workshops are back, live and online, on the first Saturday of each month. For families with children aged 6-10, these friendly workshops are a chance to create together, experiment with new ideas and learn all about some of the amazing art we have on display at Glynn Vivian Art Gallery.

Papercraft 3D Caves with the art of Kathryn Ashill

For our first Saturday Family Workshop of the year we will be using papercraft, collage and illustration techniques to create 3-dimensional cave dioramas. Inspired by Kathyn Ashill’s latest exhibition, Fool’s Gold, you will learn how to draw, colour, cut and construct your very own magical world.

What you will need:

  • A cereal box or 3 sheets of thin card
  • Scraps of coloured or patterned paper (this could be old wrapping paper)
  • Recycled cardboard from an old box
  • Egg box
  • Pencil
  • Rubber
  • Black Pen (Fineliner or biro)
  • Colouring crayons or felts
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • A small torch or other light source
  • A camera
  • A blanket

This workshop will take place live on Zoom.

Booking essential. Please book your ticket here.

One ticket per family/digital device.

Free to take part online. No payment required.
