Glynn Vivian Art Gallery is looking for an Associate Artist to research and deliver a series of workshops responding to our screen-based collection for young people living with a disability.

This role is suited to someone with lived experience of disability with a passion for creativity and working with the public.

Role Description
- Research themes and techniques used within the screen-based works in Glynn Vivian’s Permanent Collection.
- Design and deliver six engaging workshops for young people around these themes or techniques.
- Give feedback about and contribute to the evaluation of the project.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Some experience of workshop leading or assisting with children and young people in the visual arts
- An open and collaborative approach to learning and engagement
- An interest in developing individual arts practice and skills in working with children and young people
- An innovative and creative art education practice
The fee is £2450 for a maximum of 7 full day’s work (7.5hrs), to include research and delivery of a series of six workshops with targeted groups, as arranged.
There are additional funds available for access costs, up to a maximum of £2,100 for specific individual needs.
This role is subject to a successful enhanced DBS check. This role is a freelancer position; candidates must be registered as a freelancer and have the appropriate insurance in place.
