Website accessibility statement

Accessibility for the Glynn Vivian Gallery

The gallery is owned and managed by Swansea Council and this is the accessibility statement for the website.  For full physical accessibility details, visit our access page which has our access statement available.

There’s a separate accessibility statement for the main Swansea Council website.

This page only contains information about the Glynn Vivian Gallery website, available at www.glynnvivian.co.uk

Using this service

This site is run by Swansea Council. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this service. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to the service using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the text in the service as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this service is

Some people may find parts of this service difficult to use:

  • image titles and alt tags are missing in some locations and we are working on adding these
  • at one point we display location information on a map – however, there’s also a postcode lookup tool that’s accessible to visually impaired users using assistive technology
  • there are old videos embedded on the site that don’t have captions. Captions will be added to any new videos produced by the gallery.

What to do if you have difficulty using this website

If you have difficulty using this site, contact us by:

Contacting us by phone or visiting us in person

Our offices have audio induction loops, or if you contact us before your visit we can arrange a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter to help you complete the service in person.
