Cinzia Mutigli, ‘How long will it last’.

Throughout August, sign up to our free Digital Art School courses, led by artists using the latest digital media in their practice.

Designed for individuals looking to expand their creative digital skills, these online three and four day courses utilise free software to create digital artworks using a range of innovative process.

All information will be provided and no previous experience is necessary.

Courses include:

  • DIY Experimental Artist Filmmaking (for Beginners) with Cinzia Mutigli

  • Digital sculpting with Dale Sinoia

  • Image manipulation and video editing with Seema Mattu

  • Creative Soundscapes with Jason and Becky

  • What is Real? – lo-fi AR with Megan Broadmeadow

DIY Experimental Artist Filmmaking (for Beginners) with Cinzia Mutigli

This workshop, run by an artist who makes films, is about using freeware in an experimental way to translate ideas into film. The emphasis is on creativity and contemporary fine art approaches and a supportive environment.

Digital sculpting with Dale Sinoia

Learn the fundamentals of creating 3D models using freeware software zbrush.

Image manipulation and video editing with Seema Mattu

10.08.21, 13.08.21, 18.08.21, 5:00pm – 7:00pm

Seema’s course centres around image manipulation, and video editing. Using software such as: Blender, GIMP and Snapseed, Seema will look at how different software can be used through multiple channels to create varied outcomes. Seema is dedicated to providing a learning environment which is not only free, but accessible and enjoyable too.

Creative Soundscapes with Jason and Becky

In this workshop, artists, Jason & Becky will share how they use sound in their art practice and introduce you to ways sound can be sourced, gathered, recorded, combined and manipulated to make your own Creative Soundscape.

What is Real? – lo-fi AR with Megan Broadmeadow

12.08.21, 19.08.21, 20.08.21, 3:00pm – 5:00pm

In these sessions participants will capture their local world and objects, using smart phones in two ways – video and photogrammetry (which creates a digital 3d version of the object). You will learn how to use video software to change how it looks and then make into a short AR (Augmented Reality) animation to share online and replace back into the world.
