Masterclass: Traditional Drawing Workshop

Wednesday 29 November 2023 //  by laura.gill

Wednesday 29 November 2023
10:30 am - 3:30 pm

Charcoal drawing of a woman with short hair. A sideways view of her head, neck and shoulders. The Sight Size Method

Drawing demonstration and practical workshop

With Artist Lucy Corbett

For adults aged 16+

In this one-off masterclass, join artist Lucy Corbett to learn about the ‘sight size method’, a method in which the artist makes a drawing the same height as the subject being rendered, as it would appear on either the left or right of the drawing board.

You will learn to draw a still life in charcoal using the sight size method, and how to render the form to create a three dimensional image from life. Following on from this, set your newfound experience to use in an afternoon of practical exercises. Lucy will also be available to offer advice on your own projects.

£35, No experience necessary. All materials provided

A limited number of free places are available to our refugee community and individuals seeking asylum or on low income. Please ask our friendly team for more details.

Limited spaces. Booking essential. Call 01792 516900 or book online
