Swansea Arts Weekend

Swansea Arts Weekend is a FREE vibrant two-day celebration of creativity, culture, and community, set in the heart of Swansea City Centre.

Taking place on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October, the festival will transform the city into a hub of inspiration, bringing together music, visual arts, and live performance for all to enjoy.

Tigers and Dragons: Paint Your Face!

Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Artist Rhiannon Morgan will be painting ‘Tigers & Dragons’ on children’s faces, in response to the exhibition Tigers & Dragons: India and Wales in Britain! Part of Swansea Arts Weekend 2025.

Ren Wolfe’s Rahh! Tigers and Dragons: Costume and Dress Up

Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October

Workshop times: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Join artist Ren Wolfe to create whimsical costumes and playful dress-up in an imaginary set in response to the exhibition Tigers & Dragons: India and Wales in Britain!

Drop in Crafts – puppet making

Saturday 11 October 2025, 11:30 am – 2:30 pm

Make your very own mini puppet and use it to play in Ren Wolfe’s imagined role-play set.

Gallery Tour with Dr Zehra Jumabhoy

Saturday 11 October 2025, 11:30 am – 12:30 pm

Join us for a special guided tour of Tigers & Dragons: India and Wales in Britain with exhibition Co-curator, Dr Zehra Jumabhoy.

Nazma Botanica, Welsh-Asian / Asian-Welsh: Hyphenated Identities

Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October 2025, 1:00 pm – 1:15 pm

Swansea based artist Nazma Botanica will do a live-art performance using the rituals of preparing traditional cultural foods (chapatis and Welsh cakes), to open up Welsh and Asian culture to the possibilities of parallels and exchanges between the two.

No booking required


Supported by the Culture & Tourism Anchor at Swansea Council and funded by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund.
