Weekend Adult Workshop, with artist Heledd Wyn

Saturday 10 February 2024 //  by laura.gill

Saturday 10 February 2024
11:00 am - 2:30 pm

Sacred Haiku and ikigai

Manifest positive change

NON is a promenade performance: a dream that is a celebration of Saint David’s mother, mother earth. The symbolic and meditative performance will be seen on the screen.

In this workshop there will be an opportunity to slow down, to reflect, to share a gentle vision, to consider and reflect on doing the small things, with each other. This workshop will work with Heledd’s NON work shown at GlynnVivian which had a central colour of yellow and a theme of hope, dignity and beauty, the work that has been on tour fosters a sense of freedom, inspiration and power.

The NON workshop invites you to come to a state of calm, stillness and presence: to dream of a peaceful and positive future for Wales. When we slow down, we can discover a wealth of wisdom and have the opportunity to consider how to look after ourselves and Wales in the future.

In this event Heledd will discuss how being in nature has a positive effect on our creativity and how to consider composing and framing to share our vision. You will be immersed by music and surrounded by trees and discover the power of the forest. The simple method of bathing in the forest, being quiet and still among the trees, observing nature around us while breathing deeply can help relieve stress and promote health and well-being in a natural way. Heledd will also explore expressive writing through Haiku poems.

Booking essential. Tickets £3. All materials provided. Call 01792 516900 or book online

A limited number of free places are available to our refugee community and individuals seeking asylum or those with Passport to Leisure. Please ask our friendly team for more details.
