For adults aged 16+
Join artist and ceramicist, Esther Ley, to experiment and learn techniques and skills to start you ceramics journey.
10:00-12:30
- Basic slab building
- Use patterns to create objects
- Understand techniques of joining clay
- Understanding tools available and their uses
Break for Lunch
13:30-16:00
- Applying a decorative surface to greenware 1.
- Explore methods of adding coloured decoration to ceramics eg sgraffito, monoprint, stencils
- Use these techniques effectively to create a decorative surface.
